About The Project

This website is dedicated to a new assessment methodology that uses Virtual Reality (VR) to provide students with a real life experience in their studies, and a formative assessment to track and monitor progress and development of knowledge and skills. The interactive resources will enrich the student experience, giving them an opportunity to see a scenario through a 360 degree resource.  It will be inclusive and reflective of the industry the students want to work in. The resources will support practical elements that will be inclusive of  young people with inclusion needs.

Developing this style of resource will enrich the students’ experience and also enable providers to reach out to disadvantaged, hard to reach students in the form of learning and developing digital skills so they are equipped for the future.

This website will provide you with advice and guidance, resources and case studies of the benefits of using the new assessment methodology using VR.

Ascentis

Ascentis are delighted to support City of Wolverhampton College with their new project Wolverhampton Assessment Methodology.

We are providing Virtual Reality headsets for their hard to reach disadvantaged ESOL students in order for them to develop digital skills and to support interactivity with formative assessment which will enable learners to progress onto summative assessments.
